A guide to: Play-By-Color Tablatures

I created our Play-By-Color Tablatures to make learning to play songs incredibly easy and intuitive for all ages. I've worked with 4-year-olds and 80-year-olds alike, and within a matter of minutes, they've all been able to read these tablatures and use them to play new songs in real time.

The Friendly Banjo is an open-tuned instrument, which means all three strings are always in harmony, no matter where you fret. This is what makes learning so simple. When you read our tablatures, you have the flexibility to either play each note individually or, more often, strum all three strings at once every time a note is written.
